20:1 Contra-Angle Handpiece Manual

 

1. INDICATION FOR USE

The 20:1 Contra-Angle Handpiece is used for dental requirements in the area of dental surgery.

Any other form of use is ill advised and can be harmful.

 

2. AREA OF APPLICATION 

The 20:1 Contra-Angel Handpiece must only be used by someone with dental experience, with knowledge in implantology for the application described here above, and in compliance with the provisions in effect in relation to the prevention of accidents at work, protection of employment, and the instructions for use.

 In accordance with these provisions, the user must only use working instruments without defects, observe the principle of correct use, protect themselves and the patient or third party against any danger, and prevent all contamination by the product. 

 

3. GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION  

This product is available for dental motor implant systems in accordance with ISO standards only, use otherwise will damage the handpiece and destroy the patient’s bone. It is only to be used by a qualified dental practitioner.

Before using, check that the locking mechanism is properly functioning outside of the patient’s mouth. Do not use if the handpiece displays too much vibration, irregular noises, or produces too much heat. Do not drop the handpiece as it may damage the mechanism. Do not disassemble the handpiece or alter any parts. You should carry a spare handpiece in case of total failure.

This handpiece must be sterilized prior to first use and after each treatment. Do not attempt to remove the bur while it is still in motion. Only use standard burs or drills compatible with the handpiece. Do not exceed the maximum rotation spend of the bur or drill. Keep the bur or drill clean. Any other foreign object could cause failure of the handpiece.

Never operate the handpiece without a bur or drill. Do not push the “push button chuck” while the handpiece is in motion as it will cause damage to the mechanism and release the drill from the chuck.

In the event of visible malfunction or damage, immediately stop using the instrument and inform contact@conmetior.com.

 

4. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS 

The user is responsible for the appropriate choice of operating conditions, which will prevent any risk to the patient or to another person. The max torque of the handpiece should be greater than or equal to 55Ncm, and the max rotation speed is 2000 r/min.

 
 

5. REPROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation

Always wear protective gloves, a mask, and protective goggles for safety purposes and to minimize the risk of infection.

Remove the bur.

Wipe the exterior of the handpiece using a cleaning wipe (for turbine, also wipe the coupling.)

Operate the handpiece at the chair-side for at least 20 seconds to purge fluids in the handpiece.

Remove the handpiece.

Carry the handpiece to the decontamination area.

Do not immerse Conmetior instruments in disinfectant solution or clean in ultrasonic devices.


Cleaning and Drying

Wash the handpiece and irrigation nozzle under running water following these procedures: water condition: ≥38° C (100° F), ≥3.5L/min; water should be of the same quality as drinking water.

Clean the external surfaces of the handpiece with a soft bristled toothbrush for 15 seconds or more.

Clean around the bur insertion hole for 15 seconds or more, using an interdental brush (wire thickness 0.7 mm) that conforms to size 4 in ISO 16409.

Under appropriate lighting (natural office lighting), inspect the handpiece for blood or other debris. If any visible debris remains, repeat the process until the handpiece is visually clean.

Wipe the exterior of the handpiece clean using a cloth moistened with disinfectant or ethanol with a concentration of 60-90%.

When using disinfectant, follow the instructions given by the manufacturer of the disinfectant. Use a state-sanctioned disinfectant with proven bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal properties.


Cleaning and Lubrication

CHUCK (only FG bur Handpiece)

Attach the tip of the nozzle to the nozzle of the PANA SPRAY plus.

Shake the can 3 or 4 times, hold the can in upright position, then gently press in the push button to directly spray into the bur insertion hole.

INTERIOR

Attach appropriate spray nozzle to PANA SPRAY plus can

Shake the can 3 or 4 times, hold the can in upright position then insert the spray nozzle into the rear of the handpiece while holding the head of the handpiece with a cloth.

Hold the handpiece and spray for 2 or 3 seconds until oil comes out of the handpiece head.

Repeat the process until expelled lubricant is clear without debris.


Packaging, Sterilizing, and Drying

Insert the handpiece into an FDA-Approved sterilization pouch that conforms with ISO 11607-1, and seal the pouch. The maximum temperature is 135°C (275F) for 12min.

Storage

Store the product in a dry and clean location.

 

GUARANTEE

If you think you have received a product in poor condition or if you think the packaging has been tampered with or damaged before delivery, please refuse to accept the package and return it to the delivery person.

Email us at contact@conmetior.com mentioning your order ID. We will personally ensure that a brand-new replacement is issued to you with no additional cost.

Make sure that the ORIGINAL PRODUCT TAG is present when you send back the product.

You must return any goods within 10 days of date of receipt.

Due to Federal regulations, apart from condition reserved herein above all sales for any of our products are FINAL and NON-REFUNDABLE.

This 20:1 Contra-Angle Handpiece is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for 6 months from the date of invoice. This guarantee does not apply to wear and tear parts. 

All changes or additions to the product without the express agreement of Conmetior render this guarantee null and void. 

The guarantee becomes null and void if the technical instructions are not followed. 

Conmetior cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from or which could result from normal wear, use, cleaning or incorrect maintenance, the non-observance of instructions for use or connection, scaling or corrosion, impurities in the water supply system or unusual chemical or electrical influences or non-observance of the instructions, maintenance instructions and assembly of Conmetior and other manufacturer’s instructions. 

Delivery charges incurred when sending an instrument back to Conmetior for repair will be paid by the client, even if the repair itself is covered by the guarantee. 

Postage and packaging fees when returning the instrument to the client are covered by the guarantee. 

So that guarantee requests are taken into consideration, please attach a copy of the invoice or a copy of the delivery slip.
